Sleep Support and Conditioning

What is sleep conditioning?

Sleep Conditioning is a process of helping babies and young children fall asleep on their own, typically done by various sleep training techniques.

Falling asleep unassisted is an essential skill because sleep is vital to a child's growth and development. My sleep conditioning approach uses gentle strategies and consistent daily and bedtime routines and educates parents about how babies sleep.

Every child is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all. I will guide you through naps, feedings, and daily and bedtime routines. I am a Certified Sleep Coach, and my training consists of sleep workshops, activities, lectures from sleep experts, and years of hands-on experience.

Your perfect sleeper might all of a sudden begin waking up several times at night. There are many reasons, such as Developmental Milestones and Sleep Regressions, typical of babies learning new and exciting things. A new milestone could be rolling over and crawling. These milestones pass typically and can last for a few days or weeks; however, bad sleep habits can creep in, making it hard to break.

Babies and toddlers thrive on a schedule and knowing what to expect at different times of the day, which can help them be better sleepers at night.

Common issues discussed during sleep conditioning or coaching:

·   My baby does not want to sleep in his or her crib.

·   The baby needs to rock to sleep and wakes up when put down to sleep.

·   My son protests nap times.

·   My child wakes up early and will not go back to sleep.

·   The baby wakes up several times throughout the night.

Our process:

·   A 15-minute complimentary consultation to see if sleep conditioning or coaching is proper for you

·   An assessment of the child's current sleep habits and patterns

·   Child's past and recent medical history

·   Discussion on how sleep works

·   Implement a sleep strategy and plan that is right for your child

·   Selecting a sleep package

During your sleep consultation, you will learn how to create and continue to establish healthy sleeping habits. Sleep conditioning methods are selected to match your child's temperament and age. It is better to start your child off to proper and safe sleep practices. We do not sleep condition during significant transitions like a move or illnesses. Consultations can be conducted In-home or via FaceTime. In-home support can help establish consistency with nap and bedtime routine with a minimum of 5 consecutive days or nights.
